Forfar Mart

The Forfar Market was constituuted in its present form in 1967 with the amalgamation of a number of Livestock Companies and traded as Angus Marts Ltd

In September 1991 the company was taken over by Montrose Auction Co. Ltd and then in June 1998 the company was purchased by Lawrie & Symington Group.

Primestock from a wide area is marketed on a weekly basis with sales being held every Wednesday. Sales of Store Stock are held on a seasonal basis
