| Forfar – Lawrie & Symington (August 6th) sold 100 prime cattle,
1,502 prime sheep and 28 OTM cattle.
Prime bullocks (51) averaged 177.8p (+4p) and sold to 210p per kg for
the Butchers Champion at Kirriemuir Show, a Limousin from John Lumgair, East Idvies and to a top gross of £1,375 for the same animal bought by Rennie’s, Forfar.
Heifers (49) averaged 178.5p (+5.8p) and sold to 199p per kg
for a Limousin from West Bog to J.B. Penman, Crail and to a top gross of
£1,196 from Nether Myres to Woodhead Bros, Turriff.
