Lawrie and Symington Ltd (Lanark) sold 46 Prime Cattle, 53 Cast Cows and 682 Prime and Cast Sheep at their weekly sale.
Prime Cattle - A Joint Top Price of 195p per kg was realised for Limousin Heifers firstly from G Clark & Co, Wellhead, Livingston and purchased by Morgan Farms and also David Dickinson, Brockwoodlees, Canonbie and purchased by JH Cairns Butchers, Law.

Dairy Cows (22) averaged 97p per kg (+ 2p on the week) and sold to 121p for a 645kg Hf Cow from Messrs Mitchell, Newton of Wiston Farm, Wiston or £815 from Messrs Grant, South Carnduff Farm, Strathaven. Bulls (3) averaged 98p per kg and sold to 104p or £1095 for a 1050kg Charollais from Messrs Shearer, Burnbrae Farm, Strathaven.
