Dairy Cattle - The Sale was Topped at £1880 for a (Hol) Heifer in Milk from Messrs J Currie and Son, Carlinside Farm, Lanark. Heifers in Milk: Carlinside (Hol) £1880, The Hill (Hol) £1580, Newton of Wiston (Hol) £1560. Cows in Milk: South Lanridge (Hol) £1460, The Hill (Hol) £1380, Dykehead (Hol) £1150.
Prime Cattle - Prime Cattle sold to 192p per kg for a 530kg Limousin Heifer from David Dickinson, Brockwoodlees, Canonbie and bought by Hugh Black Butchers, Lanark / Carluke. 69 Prime Cattle sold to averaged 161p per kg an increase of 1.2p on the previous sale.
